Life is a tapestry. Stories, relationships, experiences and memories are the threads.
I'm Sue Bachner, a trained end-of-life doula. My work is grounded in the belief that the final transition can be a peaceful passage, met with dignity, meaning and even hope. My mission is to help people notice the beauty of what they have woven and choose intentionally what comes next.
I guide individuals and caregivers in planning for what lies ahead by offering thoughtful information, gentle reflection and steady presence.

Carpe diem:
Seize the day

The Latin phrase "carpe diem" translates to "seize the day." My services are for anyone who is ready to make the most of the time they have — whether it's weeks, months or even years — to prepare for a peaceful and fitting goodbye. The emphasis is on how you want to live today, while preparing for tomorrow.
Drawing on knowledge of the dying experience, I help people navigate their options while focusing on what brings peace, comfort and a sense of completion for them. I also support families and caregivers in being present in ways they will always treasure.
My role is to offer a steady, non-directive presence that supports each person's individual way of making sense of this time.
